Dr. Ronelle de Villiers obtained her medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1997.
She pursued further training in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Paediatrics, and completed a Diploma in Child Health in 1999.
She has experience in general practice, accident and emergency medicine, and participates as co-investigator in clinical trials.
This was followed by a stint as project manager and medical officer for The Kidzpositive Family Fund (an NGO committed to improving the lives of HIV-positive children).
Dr. De Villiers joined our breast diseases clinic in 2011, and focuses on the assessment and diagnosis of breast diseases, management of benign breast disease, and the follow-up and support of patients during and after chemotherapy.
She also has a special interest in the psychological impact of breast disease and offers holistic support to affected patients.
Dr. De Villiers is a member of the Breast Interest Group of Southern Africa.
She is a board member of the Breast Course for Nurses NPO.
